New Chief Executive at the Queen Margaret Union

The QMU are delighted to announce that we have appointed a new Chief Executive to start in August.

Following an extensive selection process, Margaret Davison has been appointed to the role at a crucial time for the organisation. This is a critical appointment and Margaret will be tasked with leading the organisation following a period of major change over the last 6-months. She has held a number of leadership roles including several years at senior-level within the New Zealand and Scottish public sectors.

Courtney Hughes, QMU President said

"Margaret will provide outstanding leadership and has extensive experience around financial, people and change management. She'll bring a real focus around supporting student leaders and implementing our new strategic plan".

Margaret Davison said

"I'm delighted and excited to be joining the QMU at this important time.  It's a great organisation with a long and proud heritage. The QMU can play a key role in enriching the student experience at the University of Glasgow and I'm determined to ensure we have the kind of impact in the future that our members deserve".

Margaret will start with us on Friday 9th August.
